Tekelek at Energy Industry Events

Tekelek recently participated in two important energy industry events in Houston, Texas – the 8th Annual Energy Supply Chain and Procurement Summit and the 15th Annual National Aboveground Storage Tank Conference & Trade Show in Houston, TX – Dec 6th and 7th.

The 8th Annual Energy Supply Chain and Procurement Summit event is the industry’s crucial education and networking gathering. The agenda focus is designed for energy executives, supply chain and logistic practitioners from all industries. With continued supply chain challenges globally, this event was particularly relevant.

The 15th Annual National Aboveground Storage Tank Conference & Trade Show in Houston is a National Institute for Storage Tank Management (NISTM) event. NISTM is an organization that provides educational opportunities, resources, and training seminars about the operation, regulation, and management of Underground and Aboveground storage tank systems. The 15th Annual National Aboveground Storage Tank Conference & Trade Show particular event brings together industry experts, buyers, and suppliers to review technical items of interest and more.

Houston is a hive of activity for the Energy sector. The city’s recognition as ‘the energy capital of the world’ is certainly justified as Houston is home to 4,600 energy companies and a hub of technological innovation and entrepreneurship both within the energy sector and across aligned sectors. Hosting these important Energy events in Texas is indicative of the importance of the energy market and increasing interest in IoT technologies in the sector.

“It was fantastic to see the huge uptake on remote-level measurement technology at these events. With over 28 years of expertise, Tekelek’ s class-leading remote monitoring technologies garnered huge interest. Tekelek is delighted to be at the forefront of delivering smart tank monitoring solutions to meet customer’s needs” said Sean Ganley, Chief Sales Officer

We look forward to developing our new relationships following these events.

New Products to Market Q1 2023

Tekelek’ s IoT activity continues to grow as we proudly announce the addition of the Sigfox Pressure Monitor. Available from Q1, 2023, the new Sigfox Pressure Monitor is a flexible and configurable battery-operated level sensor with an integrated Sigfox radio. This exciting innovation is ATEX certified and will complement our established portfolio of intrinsically safe remote monitoring solutions that pride themselves on meeting environmental highly regulated environmental standards.

We are also pleased to introduce the new Silo Monitor as part of our in-house designed ultrasonic product offering.

Our TEK 4G/5G LTE Silo Ultrasonic Monitor smart level sensing device uses ultrasonic technology to measure the level of the silo content being monitored and then communicates this data in a binary message to a remote server via a TCP connection. This is communicated via CAT-M1 / NB-IoT networks. The sensor is specifically designed for silos.

“IoT in Agri applications is facilitating greater efficiency and improved asset management,” Oliver McCarthy, General Manager, Tekelek said today. “We’re very excited to apply this thinking and our technology to the Agri market-place”.

Tekelek look forward to applying our new industry leading IoT technologies to a range of exciting projects in the new year.
